Lisa Adrianne: The Music

Father Here I Come

(Lisa Adrianne & Debbie Fortnum)
This was one of my very first songs! I was around 17 years old at the time...I entered it into Debbie Fortnums Far-Away song writing competition and won! The prize was to have her co-write it with me! The song I submitted was pretty rough, so she took it into her hands and viola! Father Here I Come was completed!!! This song really speaks for itself... Its about how God can use us when we are broken! Often when we are in a "broken state" we are much easier to use!
Crushed you saw me curled up
Crying from the pain
I'd drifted off to sleep in my disgrace
And as I searched so hard to find
Something to find hide this pain of mine
You were there, when I woke up on my face

Now it's all becoming clear
Now I know you put me here
Not to hurt me, but to set me free

You have opened up my eyes
Now I see the reason why
You want this pain to bring me to my knees

Father here I come
Father here I bow
Father here I weep
Humbly at your feet
Before you I surrender
Broken on my knees
Here is every part of my
Every thought and every dream

Straight into your arms I want to run
So Father here I come
